Salvation and grace
Romans 10:9
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."— Romans 10:9, NIV
Reflection
Two verbs: declare and believe. Mouth and heart. The combination makes salvation real. The verse doesn't say 'try harder' or 'fix yourself first.' It says, declare it, believe it, and the verb 'will be saved' is in the passive — something done TO you, not by you. If you've been waiting until you feel ready, the verse won't let you. The doorway is wide and the threshold is low: Jesus is Lord, raised from the dead. That's the whole confession. Walk through.
Prayer
Jesus is Lord. I believe you were raised from the dead. Save me. Today and tomorrow and again.
