The five stages of GODGOTME, explained in depth
Stages aren't levels in a video game. They're a real path through the body of Christ — and you can't shortcut them with a credit card.
Why stages at all
Most online communities are flat. You sign up, you're a "user," that's it. The body of Christ is not flat. There's a real path: from being curious, to being committed, to being sent. We named the stages so the path is visible — and so you know where you are, and where you're going.
The stages are unlocked by action, not by money. You cannot buy your way to Apostle. You can buy your way to Witness, because owning a piece of apparel is in itself a small public commitment. But past Witness, only service, witness, and bringing others in advances you.
Stage 1 — Seeker
Who: Anyone who lands on the site. No commitment, no obligation, no email required.
What's unlocked: The homepage, the daily ritual (claim button is gated), the reading plan index, the merch catalog, the community wall (read-only).
How you advance: Drop your email. We send a 6-digit code. Confirming makes you a Believer.
The Seeker stage exists because curiosity is honored. You can read everything before you commit to anything. We don't wall off the brand behind a signup form. We trust that the work itself will earn the next step.
Stage 2 — Believer
Who: Confirmed-email users. The smallest possible commitment, made real by an action.
What's unlocked: The daily ritual claim button (and your streak begins), the prayer log, the wall of testimonies (read + write), reading plan enrollment, the gallery (filtered to Believer-tier merch).
How you advance: Buy any piece. OR share a testimony to the wall. OR post to the community. Any of these makes you a Witness.
The Believer stage is for the person who's saying "I want this in my life, but I'm not ready to commit publicly." The daily ritual streak is what turns a Believer into a Witness — by day 7 or 14, you've done enough that you'd have something to share, and the next step happens naturally.
Stage 3 — Witness
Who: Believers who've made the commitment public. They wear the wordmark, or they've put their story on the wall, or they've shown up in the community.
What's unlocked: The full sticker + tee + tote catalog, repeat order discount tier, the right to comment on community posts, the prayer-request board (where you can ask for prayer, not just pray), the gallery filtered to Witness-tier.
How you advance: Bring 1 person in (referral signed up). OR place 3+ orders. OR post publicly to the wall.
The Witness stage is the largest community group. Most Christians who use GODGOTME long-term will live in this stage — and that is good and right. You're carrying the witness, walking daily, praying for the people in front of you. That is the assignment for most.
Stage 4 — Disciple
Who: Witnesses who've started bringing others in or showing up at scale.
What's unlocked: Hoodie catalog (Disciple-only), monthly prayer letter from Adam, early access to new reading plans, the right to lead a community meal listing on the site, the gallery filtered to Disciple-tier.
How you advance: Bring 3+ people in. OR place 5+ orders. OR rank weekly top-10 by service hours logged.
Discipleship in scripture is making more disciples (Matthew 28:19). The Disciple stage on GODGOTME reflects that — the unlock isn't more access, it's more responsibility. Disciples are the spine of the community. They're who newer Believers learn from.
Stage 5 — Apostle
Who: Disciples who are sent. The ones who started the meals, brought the family in, ran the local witness.
What's unlocked: The full catalog (numbered cap, embroidered jacket, the Apostle pieces), the right to submit your own reading plans for the catalog, monthly call with Adam, the right to nominate new Apostles, gallery + admin tier.
How you advance: Apostle is a permanent stage. From here, the work is the same — but the stewardship is greater. Apostles run the wall, mentor Disciples, and shape what the brand becomes.
The honest part
The stages are real — they're recorded in the database, they unlock real tier-gated content, they show on your profile. But they are also a metaphor. The actual work of the Christian life — prayer, scripture, service, witness — is the same at every stage. The stage is just the public marker of what's already true.
Don't chase the stage. Walk the walk. The stage will follow.
Keep walking
